Peter is a long time Arlington resident who began his Rotary and professional careers in Cleburne in 1983. Peter married Lynn in 1985 just prior to her graduation from The University of Texas School of Law. They moved to Arlington in 1988, where daughter, Kristin, was born in 1990, and son, Joseph, in 1992. After moving his Edward Jones Investments office from Cleburne to Arlington in 1994, Peter joined the Rotary Club of Arlington and immediately became involved in fundraising for a scholarship program that later received recognition from the White House. Peter became involved in fundraising for all Arlington Rotary Clubs and eventually in the work of District 5790 as Assistant Governor in Area 12, over eight Rotary Clubs in Arlington. His vocation in fund development led him to current service as Board Member of the Arlington Rotary Foundation.
A native of Honeoye Falls, New York, Peter moved to Texas as soon as possible! He studied Psychology and Political Science at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York, where he was President of the Student Senate, laying the groundwork for future leadership roles. In addition to Rotary duties and responsibilities, Arlington community engagement activities include: Arlington Convention and Visitors Board; Vice President, Forest Hills Homeowners Association; President, Board of Theatre Arlington; and Member, Finance Committee of the American Association of Community Theatre. Peter and Lynn are long time members of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Arlington and are involved in many aspects of Church life.
Recently retired from Edward Jones, Peter is honored to be selected as District Governor for 2019-2020. He looks forward to building a team that will support all of the dynamic Rotary Clubs in 5790. "I can't wait to begin working with all Rotarians -- past, present, and future -- and feel particularly blessed with this new opportunity."

Smoke billows from a rooftop. Two cars collide. A loved one loses consciousness. A prowler finds an unlocked door. When these and other emergencies strike, dialing 9-1-1 is the first step toward help. Since 1987, Denco Area 9-1-1 District has been hard at work implementing and refining the technologies, protocols, training programs, and community outreach initiatives that equip 9-1-1 telecommunicators to direct first responders to the scene — swiftly and skillfully — throughout Denton County and the city of Carrollton. Our staff works behind the scenes in support of 11 communication centers known as public safety answering points, or PSAPs, along with more than 50 public service agencies. |
