 Lori Nelson serves as the Director of Community Engagement for Denton County Friends of the Family. In her role, she works to build relationships with agencies and individuals in the community who interact with victims of violence to best support clients seen by the agency. This work is foundational to building awareness in the community around the vast number of individuals experiencing domestic and sexual violence and toward the development of the Denton County Family Justice Center.

Lori also volunteers as the secretary of the volunteer Board of Directors for Denton County Crime Stoppers and is a co-host of the organization’s podcast, Denton County: Unsolved, which highlights unsolved cases and encourages community members to share information that can assist law enforcement.
