CCA & The Services It Provides To The Community
Brian joins Christian Community Action as our new Major Gifts Officer. He brings more than 28 years of experience in senior and mid-level development roles, serving higher education, youth services, social services, and faith-based nonprofit organizations across North Texas and other states.
A native of south Mississippi and a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Brian began his professional journey in broadcast journalism, anchoring and reporting for stations in Jackson and Hattiesburg. In 1992, he transitioned into the nonprofit sector as Public Relations Director for The Salvation Army’s Alabama-Louisiana-Mississippi Division, launching a distinguished career in development and philanthropy.
Proudly half-British, Brian is the son of a World War II survivor from London. He draws inspiration from his late parents, whose remarkable love story - beginning on a double-decker bus in London - continues to shape his values. He is currently writing a novel to honor their legacy.
A man of deep faith and compassion, Brian has served as an elder, deacon, lector, eucharistic minister, and greeter in local churches. He has also brought joy to countless lives by volunteering as Santa Claus for children’s homes, military families, and senior communities. In addition, he has lent his voice as a volunteer announcer for Miracle League Baseball and as a volunteer reader for elementary students.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with family, traveling, golfing, cooking and grilling, attending live music events, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. He is a proud father of three adult children: Drew (29), Rebecca (26), and Grace (22).
