Little Hearts of Hope

Kerri Steele, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, relocated to Texas after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. She is a devoted mother of three and a passionate advocate for children’s mental health. Following the loss of her husband to terminal cancer in 2012, Kerri founded Little Hearts of Hope, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to supporting children, ages 4-14, by promoting creative expression as a healthy coping mechanism. In addition to leading the organization, Kerri operates a cottage bakery specializing in gourmet king cakes and is preparing to release her first children’s book.
